How to Take a Screenshot on Your Apple Watch
If you need to share a specific screen with somebody or share a screenshot of what you have on your Apple Watch display, taking a screenshot on an Apple Watch is a useful method. It’s quite easy like taking a screenshot on an iPhone or iPad. Here’s on how to take a screenshot on an Apple Watch.
Note: With watchOS 3, the feature for taking screenshots are disabled by default. So, you need to turn Screenshot on if you want to capture the Apple Watch screen.

- Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
- Select the My Watch tab.
- Tap on General.
- Just turn Screenshots to On.
How to Take Screenshots on Apple Watch
Step 1: Get to the screen you need to capture.
Step 2: Make sure that your Apple Watch is awake, and its display is brightened.
Step 3: At the same time, press and hold the Digital Crown/Home key and the Side key until your Apple Watch screen appears flash of the screen and make a sound then the screenshot was taken.
Apple Watch’s screenshots are quite small with 216×290px for the 42mm.
Note: When you keep the side key for so long, your Apple Watch will appear an alert about power your device off , so make sure to do the key combination fast and at once.
Where does the screenshot get saved?
The screenshot will be saved to All Photos album (or Camera Roll if you turned iCloud Photo Library off) on your iPhone. Just launch the Apple Watch app on the iPhone and tap on the Photos app.
Select an album with the Apple Watch and now you can send email or message the image to your friend or yourself.
